Pre-loved uniform

Good uniform can have more than one life. Our pilot aims to help families save money, keep useful clothing in circulation and reduce waste. It is for the whole school community.

First collection

Friday 16 October 2026

Please bring donations to the PTA collection at the school gate at morning drop-off. Donating is optional; every child can take part in Mufti Day whether or not their family has something to donate.

For this first collection

We are starting with a specific list so the pilot stays manageable. Please bring no more than three items per child.

  • Ashford Park cardigans and sweatshirts, including styles still permitted during the uniform transition
  • Branded PE T-shirts and quarter-zip PE tops
  • Plain white school shirts
  • Black school trousers, skirts and shorts
  • Black PE shorts, leggings and jogging bottoms
  • Red summer dresses
  • Ashford Park Book Bags
  • Good-quality winter coats

Ready to wear

Only donate items you’d be happy to buy

Items must be clean, completely dry and ready for another child to wear. Please check for stains, holes, worn knees, yellowing, excessive bobbling, damaged fastenings, strong smells and pet hair. We can’t wash or routinely repair donations.

Before you donate
  • Remove your child’s name label where possible.
  • Please leave the size label in place.
  • Bring only the items listed above, within the three-item limit.

Please follow the pilot guidelines :-)

Please stick to the requested list, the three-item limit and the condition rules. The PTA can’t wash, repair or store unsuitable items, so donations that don’t meet the guidelines can’t be accepted. Keeping the scheme manageable will help us continue it and consider expanding it in future.

What happens next

Sale details will follow

After the collection, PTA volunteers will sort and check the donations. We’ll share sale timing and prices once we know what usable stock we have. Further collections and sales will depend on demand, storage and volunteer capacity.

If you need uniform outside a sale, or cost is a barrier, please contact the school office privately to ask about access.
